Eye Exam
Our examination of your eyes begins in the pre-test room. One of our optometric technicians will measure the pressure in your eyes and test your peripheral vision. These two tests are a very important part in the assessment of your ocular health. Abnormal findings in these tests can indicate problems with a number of ocular and systemic diseases.
You are then taken to one of our two examination rooms here at VisionHealth Optometry, where Dr. Martin will go over your visual and ocular complaints, discuss your vision requirements, and get to know you a little better.
The tests he will do will measure your vision at distance and near. He will determine if you need any corrective lenses to improve your vision. He will measure and determine your eye coordination – or how well your eyes work together. He will perform neuromuscular and neurosensory tests on your eyes to insure they are working properly. Next, Dr. Martin will physically examine your eyes to determine whether there are any signs of ocular disease and/or systemic disease.
Once all the tests are completed, Dr. Martin will design a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs and discuss this with you. His education and experience will ensure you get the professional results you need and want from your eye exam.
